If you’ve seen the film Garden State or have the soundtrack for it, then you’ve heard Imogen Heap’s music. She’s often confused as “Frou Frou”, the name of the duo she created with Guy Sigsworth through which she composed the song “Let Go”. Her real name is actually Imogen Heap (I pronounce it like “emo”+”Jen”). Her songs have eclectic electronic and vocal arrangements that when combined with her brilliant use of trip-hop rhythms makes for some of the most colorful and engaging female vocalist songs I’ve heard.
